Sudden change at top of Alanheri

Dutch seed and cereals trader Alanheri announced on Tuesday the appointment of active shareholder Frans Faas as interim CEO with immediate effect.

Faas takes over from Rik Alkemade but would make no comment on the sudden change, news agency ANP reported.
Faas, whose investment fund Recalcico owns 60% of Alanheri, had criticised the previous board which resigned en masse in 2007. Faas then appointed Alkemade interim director and took the position of head of the supervisory board himself.
