Former finance minister offered promotion
Former finance minister Gerrit Zalm is hoping the Dutch national bank will approve his temporary appointment as CFO of the DSB Bank, reports ANP news agency on Thursday.
Zalm has been chief economist at the DSB since July. He is also an advisor for the British private equity firm Permira and was appointed chairman of the supervisory board of the International Accounting Standards Board in October.
