Vedior earnings rise 21% in Q3

Temporary employment group Vedior booked a 21% increase in net profit in the third quarter of this year, on turnover up 9% to €2.2bn.

Vedior said it has benefited in particular from the placement of highly-qualified personnel which has counteracted a slowdown in growth in France, the UK, Australia and the US.
On Wednesday, sector peer Randstad said its earnings in the US declined by 12% because of the weak dollar.
Randstad books some 12% of its turnover on the North American market. In total, third quarter net earnings were down 7% to €97m while total turnover rose 11% to €2.4bn.
