Postal group TNT books 10% sales increase

Post and express parcels company TNT booked a 10% increase in sales in the third quarter of this year, taking turnover to €2.65bn.

Pre-tax profit was stable at €258m. The company said takeovers in China, India and Brazil had pressured operating profit, which would have otherwise risen by 9%.
The company also expects to launch a previously announced €500m share buy-back programme in mid-November.
