Rotterdam’s Feyenoord is back at the top of the national football league after a difficult 1-0 victory over Arnhem’s Vitesse on Sunday.

Amsterdam’s Ajax was toppled from its top position after drawing 2-2 against Rotterdam’s Sparta and now has the same number of points as PSV. The Eindhoven team won their match against Willem II of Tilburg 3-0.
Meanwhile Heerenveen’s Brazilian midfielder Afonso Alves scored a record seven goals in their game against Heracles Almelo which they won 9-0.
