Attenborough angry at evolution edits

British wildlife broadcaster David Attenborough has urged the BBC to stop allowing Christian fundamentalists (like Dutch broadcaster EO) to delete references to evolution from his documentaries, the UK’s Telegraph said on Saturday.

Dutch scientists have also launched a protest after it emerged the EO edited out texts about evolution from Attenborough’s Life of Mammals series, and dropped one episode all together.
A BBC spokesman told the paper that the edits were within the five minute margin it allows. ‘The BBC should take steps to make sure the minuteness of the meanings are maintained,’ Attenborough told the paper.
