Biggest union group goes for 3.5% pay rise

The Netherlands’ biggest union group, the FNV, is to make a 3.5% pay deal the central plank in the next round of pay and conditions discussions.

‘The signals are on green. It is time that workers can reap the benefits of economic growth in their pay packets,’ pay deal coordinator Wilna Wind told ANP.
The union is also aiming to boost the use of one-off performance related bonuses and to stimulate the growth in home-working.
