Ton Krist, the 24-year-old old soldier seriously wounded in a suicide bomb attack in Uruzgan earlier this week, has died. He is the ninth soldier to die in the current Nato mission in Afghanistan.

Lieutenant Krist died in hospital in Utrecht on Thursday evening after being flown back to the Netherlands earlier in the day, reports news agency ANP.
The condition of the three other military personnel who were seriously injured in the same attack and flown back to Holland with Krist, is said to be ‘good in view of the circumstances’ the reports ANP.
