Two thirds of jobless are ‘unemployable’
Of the 150,000 people living on welfare benefits in the nine biggest Dutch cities, two-thirds have very little chance of ever finding a job, according to research by the Volkskrant.
In Utrecht, the figure is 80%, the Volkskrant says. Older people with few skills and little motivation make up the bulk of the unemployable, the paper says.
