Traffic jams on the up
The number of traffic jams in the Netherlands rose 20% in the first three months of this year, compared with the same period in 2006, according to traffic information service VID.
The increase means that the first quarter of 2007 were the busiest ever in terms of jams. The Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk junction on the A4 direction Delft was the worst jam hotspot, followed by the Hedel junction on the A2, direction Den Bosch.
