Inflation rises to EU average

Higher prices for clothing and shoes pushed up the inflation rate slightly in March to 1.8%, reports the government statistics office CBS. Clothes and shoes were 3.5% more expensive last month than a year ago, said the CBS.


Dutch inflation has risen fast in the last two months and while it was the lowest in Europe in January, it is now at the European average.
