The EU has done too little to prevent climate change and create a joint immigration and asylum policy, former Dutch prime minister Ruud Lubbers said in a speech to church groups on Sunday.

While Spain took on a high proportion of asylum seekers, the Netherlands was ‘practically the champion at sending them away’, ANP reported Lubbers as saying.
