Young men most likely crime victims
Over 25% of the population say they were the victim of crime in 2006, according to figures published today by the national statistics office CBS. Around 5% were the target of violent crime while 12% were robbed or had their houses broken.
Young people (40%) and those who live in built-up neighbourhoods (33%) are the most likely to be the victims of crime as are men in general.
