Unilever booked a 3% increase in sales last year to €39.6bn. Operating profit rose 7% to €5.4bn. Chairman Patrick Cescau said the figures showed that the many changes introduced by the food-to-detergents company over the past two years are now bearing fruit. However, analysts said Unilever is still performing less well than its rivals.
