Post firms pay below minimum wage

Trade union federation CNV has attacked new postal delivery companies such as Sandd and Selekt Mail for paying workers so little that their earnings are often below the minimum wage. The newcomers pay freelancers a small fee for every item delivered, rather than salaries with pension rights and holiday pay. It is no wonder that (former state owned) TNT finds it hard to compete when its staff have a proper pay deal, the CNV said.
