One in 11 pensioners lives abroad
One in 11 people with a Dutch state pension lives abroad, according to figures published today by the national statistics office CBS. But of these, only 6% receive full state pensions as many were migrant workers who did not live in the Netherlands long enough to be eligible for the full amount, the CBS said.
In total, 2.6 million people were receiving state pensions at the end of January. The number has risen by 50,000 a year since 2004.
