Moszkowicz to speak out on crime boss
Top lawyer Bram Moszkowicz, who was put under police protection on Friday, will give a press conference on Monday about his dealings with alleged crime boss Willem Holleeder. According to newspaper Trouw, Moszkowicz is set to announce that he is no longer representing Holleeder.
Moszkowicz was taken from his home on Amsterdam’s Herengracht by police on Friday evening on the advice of the anti-terrorism coordinator NCTb.
On Thursday, it emerged that someone in his law firm had leaked documents about a previous client, property magnate Willem Endstra, to the press. Endstra, who was shot dead in Amsterdam in 2004, was also represented by Moszkowicz. Holleeder is accused of blackmailing Endstra and a number of others.
