Hockey clubs limit foreign players
Holland’s top hockey clubs have agreed to limit the number of foreign players in their first 11 selection pools to three, following concerns that Dutch talent was being squeezed out.
All the first division clubs, with the exception of Rotterdam, have agreed to the two-year limit on foreign players. The increasing professionalisation of hockey has led to clubs bringing in foreign stars to boost their performance at the expense of club players.
