Fewer vehicles stolen last year

The number of vehicles stolen in the Netherlands fell 7.7% last year to just over 18,000, according to figures published today by the Foundation Against Vehicle Crimes. The number of cars stolen was down by a thousand but fewer were actually recovered. Two years ago 66% of stolen cars were returned to their owners, compared with just 55% last year.
