EU terrorism Czar to quit

The EU’s terrorism ‘czar’ Gijs de Vries will quit his job in March when his mandate expires. De Vries, a former Dutch junior home affairs minister, said he had made the decision not to stay on for personal reasons.


He was appointed to coordinate the EU’s anti-terrorism campaign in March 2004 following the attack on Madrid.
