Dutch poultry ordered indoors

Dutch poultry farmers have been ordered to keep unvaccinated fowl inside following an outbreak of bird flu on a turkey farm in England. Inspectors visited 60 Dutch farms on Sunday to ensure the order from the agriculture ministry was being followed.

Farmers that refuse to comply face a fine of €1,000 per day. The Dutch poultry sector is mainly concentrated in the east and south of the country.
