Deal offered on Belgian car tax
Transport minister Karla Peijs has suggested a compromise to Belgium over its plans to introduce tolls for foreign cars. If Belgium scraps the toll plan, the Netherlands will not require foreign drivers to pay the Dutch kilometre tax which is scheduled to be introduced in 2012.
