10,000 expected at civil service demo
Some 10,000 national government civil servants are expected to demonstrate in The Hague on Tuesday in support of their 2.5% pay claim and demand for more help with health insurance premiums.
Home affairs minister Johan Remkes, who has offered a 2% pay rise, says the civil servants union’s demand is out of all proportion.
