‘Private equity interested in Organon’
Chemicals company Akzo Nobel is in talks with private equity groups about the takeover of its pharmaceutical division, Organon, the Financieele Dagblad report today. The paper says at least two private equity groups have been asked to make an offer by mid-January.
Until now, Akzo Nobel had focused on an IPO for Organon. Analysts value the company at around €8bn.
