House prices in and around Haarlem, Zaandam and Amsterdam have risen almost 130% since the end of 2013, national statistics agency CBS said on Tuesday.

At the same time, homes in these three regions fell the fastest when the market turned in the final quarter of 2022, the CBS said. House prices were slowest to rise in parts of Zeeland and Limburg, with an increase of 70% over the past nine years.

The CBS research, which focuses on regional developments, also shows that since 2019, house prices outside the Randstad central belt have risen faster than in the big cities, with Delfzijl, the south west of Drenthe and Flevoland leading the way.

By contrast, the rate of increase in the Amsterdam region was the lowest of all.
