Three die, one hospitalised in head on collision in Rotterdam Zuid
Three people were killed in a serious car crash near a motorway junction in Rotterdam-Zuid in the early hours of Monday morning.
The crash happened on the Groene Kruisweg close to the A15 slip road at Charlois. Police suspect the crash may have been a head on collision.
A fourth person who was also involved in the crash has been taken to hospital.
The road remains closed while police and forensic experts try to establish exactly what happened.
Three children were seriously injured in another head on collision on the N329 near Oss shortly after 1am. The parents of the children were only slightly hurt.
The driver and passenger of the other car were arrested, while police check if they were under the influence of alcohol or drugs, broadcaster NOS said.
