Amsterdam Dance Event, which plugs itself as the ‘world’s largest club festival and most important business conference for electronic music’ has announced its line-up for this year.

The event, which runs in the Dutch capital from October 19 to 23, will include appearances from Dutch DJ Hardwell talking about mental health and his comeback after a three-year gap, a live podcast with South Korean DJ Peggy Gou and a masterclass in how to mint NFT digital assets from producer Richie Hawtin.

ADE will take place in 200 locations, including club nights, technical sessions and a conference. The industry event includes big names from Warner Music, Coachella music festival, Billboard, YouTube and Meta and masterclasses with artists such as Carl Cox and KINK. Themes will include the future of live music, mental health, inclusivity, artificial intelligence and social impact.

ADE’s ‘pro’ programme includes a discussion between Ukrainian artist Nastia and Ukrainian MP Lesia Vasylenko on organising ‘circular’ events and making the dance sector more representative.

The five-day nightlife programme and conference – unaffected this year by the coronavirus pandemic – are expected to attract more than 400,000 visitors from a record 146 countries.
