Kiran Badloe takes windsurfing gold, taking Dutch total to four

Windsurfer Kiran Badloe has delivered the Netherlands’ fourth Olympic gold after leading for most of the competition.

Badloe, 26, takes over the windsurfing title from fellow Dutchman Dorian van Rijsselberghe who won gold in 2012 and 2016.

In the women’s event, Lilian de Geus, three times world champion, finished fifth.

The Netherlands is currently in eighth place on the medals table, with four gold, seven silver and five bronze.
