Man shot dead by Amsterdam police was German model and influencer

The German tourist shot dead by Amsterdam police was a 23-year-old model and influencer, with 170,000 followers on Instagram under the name Sammy Baker, broadcaster AT5 said on Monday.

The youngster, real name Samuel Seewald, was in the Dutch capital for his birthday and had been gone missing on Tuesday 11, two days before the shooting, according to an emotional statement by his father on Facebook.

‘What I think: The Amsterdam police murdered my son,’ his father said. ‘We will fight for Samuel for ever.’

Seewald was shot three times by police following a struggle, during which he stabbed one officer in a bullet proof vest with a knife. He had threatened to kill himself when approached by police.
