The Netherlands has a hot, sunny week ahead, with the temperature reaching as high as 32 Celsius on Thursday, according to weather forecaster KNMI.

Monday will be sunny in most places, although high cloud will gather inland and it will be a maximum of 24 Celsius away from the coast, the KNMI said.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday it will be hot and sunny, and it will remain warm on Friday, although the chance of rain will increase. There may be showers at the weekend.

However, the agency’s long term forecast sees an 80% chance of cooler weather into July, with a 50% chance of rain.
