Iconic Dutch singer Liesbeth List dies, age 78

Iconic Dutch singer and actress Liesbeth Listh has died at her home in Soest aged 78.

List, who sang the work of such greats as Jaques Brel and Charles Aznavour, became most famous for her partnership with actor and singer Ramses Shaffy who died in 2009.

Their biggest successes include such classics as Pastorale and the Shaffy Cantate.

List, who had been suffering from dementia in her final years, played her final role in Liesbeth the musical in 2017 in which she played herself.
