The death toll from coronavirus in the Netherlands rose by a further 15 to 58 overnight, the public health institute RIVM said on Wednesday in its latest update.

The number of positive tests for the virus rose by 346 to 2,051. Almost 25% of the patients work in healthcare and are therefore more likely to be tested, the RIVM said.

As in previous updates, the patients who have died are all elderly – the oldest being 95. In total 408 people are, or have been, hospitalised.

Brabant has by far the most confirmed cases, with 769 patients, followed by Limburg (265) and Zuid Holland (241).
