PVV MP Sietse Fritsma is leaving parliament on November 1 to start his own company. Fritsma has been an MP since 2006 and was the party’s official spokesman on asylum seekers and immigration.

‘I am leaving as a proud member of the PVV and I will miss my colleagues and fellow MPs,’ he said in a short statement. ‘But I now need a different life and new challenges. I want to start a company and I am keen to get started.’

Prior to entering politics, Fritsma was a civil servant with the immigration service.
