Jaap Stam, the former Dutch international and current manager of PEC Zwolle, is taking over the helm at Rotterdam club Feyenoord next season, the Telegraaf said on Wednesday.

Stam, 46, replaces Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who said in January he would not renew his contract. Van Bronckhorst took the Rotterdammers to their first league title in 18 years in 2017.

Stam, who has a contract until 2020 with PEC, played for several European clubs including PSV Eindhoven, Manchester United, Lazio, Milan and Ajax before retiring in 2007 and moving into management.
