The spell of unseasonably warm weather has broken a string of weather records, as the temperature reaches up to 19.7 degrees in Eindhoven.

Monday went down in the record books as the warmest day in February ever measured after the temperature hit 18.3 degrees at the De Bilt weather station near Hilversum.

But that record was broken again on Tuesday and today, with the temperature hitting 18.9 degrees in De Bilt by Wednesday early afternoon.

Official weather records are set at the De Bilt location, even though it may be warmer elsewhere.

However, the early spring will end overnight as cloud and rain move in. Tomorrow’s maximum temperature is set to be no higher than 12 degrees, and the picture is similar for the rest of the week, the KNMI weather bureau said.
