Kiki Bertens ends tennis year in ninth place in world rankings
Dutch tennis player Kiki Bertens ends the current season in ninth place in the world rankings after a successful year in which she took three titles and made the Wimbledon quarter finals.
Bertens, who is 26, also made the semi-finals in the WTA Finals in Singapore last week, but was beaten by Elina Svitolina of Ukraine, who went on to take the title. Romania’s Simona Halep is the world’s number 1.
Bertens finished last season in 31st place.

The highest ranked Dutch man is Robin Haase who is 47th. The men’s rankings are led by Rafael Nadal.
