Police in Tilburg are fining some 25 motorists who drove slowly along the A58 on Sunday to film a fatal accident, broadcaster NOS said.

A 48-year-old man died in the crash, which took place on the motorway between Tilburg and Breda. Two others were injured.

‘After the crash, there were people who decided they had to film the cars and the victims,’ the police said on social media. ‘They were even filming efforts to revive the victims. Not only do you not show any respect whatsoever, but you are getting in the way and making people angry.’

One car even stopped in the middle of the motorway to film the aftermath of the crash, which almost caused a second accident, NOS said.

The fines of €239 will be sent to motorists on the basis of number plate recognition.
