The Amsterdam office of advertising agency Anomaly has won a three-year contact to carry out a worldwide campaign for Swedish home furnishings group Ikea

The aim of the campaign is to position Ikea as the ultimate sustainable company in the world, Anomaly CEO Engin Celikbas told the Telegraaf on Friday. ‘We are very proud that we are able to help them get this message across,’ he said.

Celikbas would not disclose financial details of the contract. ‘But the scale in which Ikea operates and the size of the campaign says enough. In the coming three years we will have seven or eight of our staffers working full time with Ikea. And at other periods there will be scores working on the campaign,’ he explained.

Ikea said Anomaly Amsterdam was selected because of the willingness of the people there to work closely with local Ikea outlets. ‘We have found a creative partner who brings in an integrated vision of our local and worldwide communications network,’ said Claudia Willvonseder, marketing and communications manager of Ikea.
