Golden coach renovations to cost an estimated €1.2m
The cost of restoring the golden coach used by members of the Dutch royal family on ceremonial occasions has been put at €1.2m and the work is expected to take until 2023, news agency ANP reported on Thursday.
The figure was given during a press conference on the preparations for next week’s budget presentation. The king traditionally travels to parliament to deliver his speech in the golden coach, but this year will use a different coach instead.
The work on the coach will be paid for out of the royal family’s budget.
