Seven Dutch nationals are included in a new Forbes ranking of the most stand-out people in their 20s in Europe.
The 30 under 30 list, which totals 300 names, is divided into 10 key sections and represents ‘top young leaders, creative inventors and brash entrepreneurs’, Forbes said.
Alexander Klopping and Marten Blankesteijn, the founders of online ‘pay per read’ website Blendle, and Ernst-Jan Pfauth who founded ad-free news website De Correspondent are included in the media list.
Delft University Phd student Bas Hensen, whose experiments prove one of the most fundamental claims of quantum theory, is on the list of young scientists. Judith Walker, who helped devise a cooking stove which reduces air pollution, is included in the list of social entrepreneurs.
Designer Arnout Meijer and artist Raquel van Haver are on the list of 30 artists to watch out for and dj Afrojack is part of the young entertainers list.
It is the first time Forbes has drawn up a list of young Europeans tipped for success. Other categories include finance, industry, retail and commerce.
