Dutch tour operators bring all tourists back from Tunisia

Dutch tour operators are bringing all holidaymakers who are still in Tunisia back to the Netherlands now the Dutch foreign ministry has advised against all but essential travel to the north African country.

A spokesman for the Thomas Cook travel firm said there are still 275 Dutch nationals in Tunisia and the four companies with holidaymakers there – Thomas Cook, Sunweb, TUI and Corendon – are operating a joint flight to bring them home.

All planned holidays to Tunisia have been cancelled.

In total 38 people were killed, most of them British, when gunmen opened fire on tourists on a beach near the resort of Sousse.
