Aanmodderfakker, a tragi-comedy about young men who want to stay boys too long and girls who grow up too fast, has won the Golden Calf for best Dutch film.

The jury said the film, directed by Michiel ten Horn, was the ‘best choice on every level’. Gijs Naber won the Golden Calf for best male actor for his role as Thijs.

The best actress award went to Abbey Hoes for her performance as Nena in the film of the same name.

Hollands Hoop, a crime series set in rural Groningen, won the award for best television drama.
