The Common Linnets riding high on Eurovision success

Country duo The Common Linnets, who came second in the Eurovision Song Festival earlier this month, are doing much better than winner Conchita Wurst in terms of music sales.

Calm after the Storm is currently ninth in the British singles’ charts and has topped the download list in Belgium, Denmark, Ireland and eight other countries so far.

By contrast, Austrian drag act Wurst is 17th in the UK.

The Common Linnets, made up of Ilse DeLange and Waylon, also debuted in the British album charts at number 40.
