While it will not be a heavy frost on Saturday, it will feel as cold as -10 to -15 Celsius, as a freezing easterly wind blows over northern parts of the country, weather bureaus say.

In southern parts it will be warmer, but some sleet or snow is also on the cards, the KNMI and other forecasters said on Friday.

There is little change forecast for next week, with night frosts and chilly winds during the day, but not as strong as the weekend. And there is a 50% chance the cold weather will continue into early April, the KNMI said.
