One of Britain’s most wanted is arrested in Amsterdam

One of Britain’s most wanted men has been arrested in a house in Amsterdam Zuid-Oost and will be sent back to Britain to serve a life sentence for a string of gangland killings.

Liverpudlian Kirk Bradley has been on the run since escaping from a prison van in Manchester last July. He was arrested with his uncle in Amsterdam on Wednesday night, Britain’s serious organised crime agency said.
Bradley has been on the most wanted list since he escaped from the van with another suspect while on his way to court. The other man, Tony Downes was arrested in Zeeland earlier this month, news agency ANP said. He is currently fighting extradition proceedings. Both men were convicted in their absence earlier this year.
British and Dutch police have been cooperating closely for the past three years and dozens of criminals have been picked up and deported.
