‘Bernhard had third illegitimate child’

Prince Bernhard, husband of the late princess Juliana, had a third illegitimate child, according to royalty reporter Marc van de Linden.

Two illegitimate daughters – Alicia de Bielefeld and Alexia Grinda – were discovered while the prince was still alive. He died in 2004.
Van de Linden told the Telegraaf he discovered a third during research for his book Prince Bernhard’s Women. She is a 65-year-old Dutch woman who lives abroad and was born following a ‘joyous’ meeting with the prince on liberation day in 1945.
‘Several people say she is Bernhard’s daughter, including her mother, her stepfather and a former mayor,’ Van de Linden told the paper.
Cees Fasseur, whose controversial book Juliana and Bernhard was a best-seller in 2008, was surprised by the revelation. ‘I hope the woman concerned can prove it with written confirmation, such as letters from the prince,’ he told the Telegraaf.
