Beer brewer to appeal against Heineken judgement

Weesp-based brewer Olm is to appeal against the judgement in the Heineken fraud case, news agency ANP reports.

Heineken took Olm to court earlier this month for selling barrels of beer to bars and cafes branded as Heineken but actually containing Olm.
The judge found that Olm had infringed Heineken’s brand and ordered it to stop refilling Heineken barrels within 30 days. Heineken was ordered to return all Olm barrels in its possession to its brewing competitor.
There was no ruling on whether Olm had committed fraud, which will be dealt with in a separate process.
