Public transport services resume

Public transport services in Rotterdam, The Hague and Amsterdam began returning to normal after 15.00 hours on Wednesday, following a strike by bus and tram workers.

Up to 1,000 public transport sector workers gathered outside the parliamentary complex in The Hague on Wednesday afternoon to protest at the government’s plan to force the three cities to effectively privatise services.
No new strike days have yet been announced.
