Sem and Sophie are top names
The most popular names for babies born in 2010 in the Netherlands were Sem and Sophie, according to the social insurance bank SVB. The bank receives details of all births because it pays out child benefit.
Sophie was in the top spot in 2008 but was overtaken in 2009 by Emma, which has now dropped to third place.
For boys, Sem was second in 2009 with Daan at number one. Daan dropped to fourth place in 2010.
