Four people have been arrested in the south of the country for exporting goods to Iran without the necessary export permits, the public prosecution department said in a statement on Tuesday.
The four worked for a company in Limburg and are accused of breaking export rules, fraud, forging customs and other documents and membership of a criminal organisation.
The goods, which were not indentified, are described as ‘dual-use’, meaning they could be used for civilian as well as military purposes. The export of dual-use products and technology to Iran is banned under international law.
In total 11 private homes and commercial properties were raided across the country, the department statement said.
